My Chinese name is Lian Liu which is difficult for American to pronounce, so I like people to call me Coco. I don't know if it is a funny name because my former American classmates often laughed happily when they call my name. I tried a new name which is Iris and I really like it, but I didn't see people's smiling face any more when I told them my name. And I found Coco is much easier to remember and I like people remembering me quickly. After struggling, I made up my mind to keep "Coco" as my English name. Wow, a so long paragraph to tell the story of name!!!!
I am from Beijing and a small family which only has my parents and I. I graduated from Minzu University of China and got my bachelor degree in Teaching Chinese as Foreign Language. And I started to study for my master degree still in Minzu University of China and still in the same major. As for the second year of my study, I chose to come to Rhode Island to study further so that I will be able to get two master degrees from the University of Rhode Island and Minzu University of China. I hope I can find a job of teaching Chinese in America. I like teaching Chinese and I believe myself that I can do this better than other jobs.
